This is a site dedicated to writing from and about Bloemfontein, a city in the heartland of South Africa.
B-WASP strives to present a platform for authors, poets and critics from Bloemfontein and showcases a sample of written work produced in the city. It is hoped that it will serve as a window on the people, society, conditions, experiences and life in the city. We believe a certain consciousness is reaching critical mass in the city and that a local identity is transpiring amongst residents that will find reflection in penmanship and word craft.
This site requests, solicits and petitions contributions of any such writing and will accordingly present it here. Writers who are interested in contributing to B-Wasp can submit their works through the contact page. It is also a possibility that the work collected might in future appear in published form. We simply gain the right to publish your work on the website and in a future publication, the authors retain copyright. |
